A Different Kind of Honeymoon
A few places chosen well, rooms you look forward to returning to, and days with space to yourselves. Your honeymoon needn’t follow anyone else’s idea of romance.
Stay long enough to unpack
We would usually favour fewer bases and longer stays. After the travel and the wedding, it can be lovely to spend a morning doing very little, knowing there is still time for the dunes or the coast tomorrow.
Tell us what feels special
For one couple it is a private dinner; for another, a climb or a flight over the desert. We’ll ask about privacy, food, rooms and the adventures you actually want. Any special arrangements are agreed with the individual property.
Choose the final few days carefully
Finish somewhere that suits the journey you have had. That might be a quiet desert stay or time on the coast. A river extension is a different chapter with additional travel, so we would plan the nights and connections properly.
A suggested itinerary
Desert, coast and time together
- Night 1
Windhoek
An easy arrival and a comfortable first night.
- Nights 2–5
Desert stay
Four nights for the dunes, an optional special outing and time at the lodge.
- Nights 6–8
Coast
Three nights for a change of scenery and a few meals in town.
- Nights 9–10
A final quiet stop
Choose a final stay that makes sense for your departure. A river extension needs additional nights and separate connections.
This is an outline to plan from. Stays, transport, activities and the price are confirmed for your dates.
