Give the search time.
Let your guide follow the morning’s tracks. Stay at a waterhole when there is something to watch. The pleasure of a wildlife day often comes from giving one place your attention.
Spend time in the habitat
Etosha’s waterholes, Damaraland’s dry river systems and the Okavango’s wetlands ask you to look in different ways. Choose the setting that interests you, then allow several outings to understand a little more of it. Wildlife never follows an itinerary.
Tell your guide what catches your eye
It might be birds, animal behaviour, tracks or the photograph you are hoping to make. That conversation helps shape the pace of a drive. There is no need to hurry past something small because a larger animal might be further down the road.
A different view on foot
Walking makes you notice the ground, the plants and the signs left behind. A nature walk and a walk in large-animal habitat are different activities. We’ll explore the appropriate guided options for the place and your group.

Back at camp
After a day of elephant tracking with EHRA, Olivia returned to camp, watched baboons in the riverbed at sunset and cooked over a fire. Her journal calls it the “most magical camping night”. The evening was as memorable as the outing itself.
