Namibia, Your First Time
For a first visit, we would give Namibia time. Follow the desert to the Atlantic, then turn inland through granite and dry valleys towards the wildlife of Etosha.
Why this route works
The changes in landscape are a large part of the pleasure: dune sand gives way to coastal air, then granite, open valleys and the pale edge of the Etosha pan. The route introduces different sides of Namibia without asking one place to do everything.
Protect the nights that matter
Two or three nights around Sossusvlei allow for the early start without an immediate departure. Several nights in Etosha give you more than one chance to follow the day’s sightings. We would shorten the list before taking too much time from either.
Make the first visit your own
A climbing day, a private guide, a particular lodge or a slower coastal stay can change the emphasis. Think of this outline as a useful order of places; we’ll work through the actual nights and arrangements with you.
