Lodge among the granite rocks in Namibia
Understanding your quote

Planning your budget.

A useful price begins with a route and a clear list of what it includes. The number of nights, style of stays, transport and guiding usually explain more than a broad label such as ‘luxury’.

Planning notes from Sol Safaris

Compare the whole trip

Look at meals, activities, park fees, transfers and guiding alongside the room rate. Two itineraries can appear similar while leaving you with quite different costs to pay along the way. A written proposal should make those differences visible.

Tell us where you want to spend

You may prefer a special lodge for a few nights and simpler stays elsewhere, or put more of the budget towards a private guide. A budget range helps us make those choices with you. Let us know whether it includes international flights.

Four choices that change the total

1. How you move

A self-drive vehicle, private driver-guide, and charter flights create very different budgets. Compare vehicle cover, fuel, transfers, and guide costs alongside the headline price.

2. Where you stay

Accommodation style and location matter. A remote lodge may involve transfers and activities that are not part of a simple room rate.

3. When and how long you travel

Ask for prices tied to exact dates and the number of nights. Avoid comparing an undated starting price with a confirmed itinerary.

4. What is included

Check meals, drinks, park fees, guided activities, and optional excursions. A cheaper base price may leave more to pay during the trip.

A useful comparison checklist

Our current safari prices are quoted individually. Request a proposal for your dates.
